Зоотрополис - це і є сучасна цивілізація, яку населяють абсолютно різні представники тваринного світу. Вони живуть у цьому соціумі, спілкуються між собою, заводят сім'ї і навіть ходять на роботу. За порядком у місті, як і в світі людей, стежить поліція. Саме офіцерам поліції належить розкрити складну справу, від якої залежатиме доля всіх мешканців Зоотрополісу. За цю нелегку справу беруться життєрадісна кролиця Джуді Хопс і її балакучий напарник – Нік Уайлд.
