<p>A family of five Texas transplants is on the hunt for a home near family in California's South Bay area. They'd love to find a house with a big backyard, a fantastic view and a chef's kitchen but preferences clash when it comes to style. Their agent helps them find a home they can agree on but it comes with a lot of required renovation throughout. Their contractor and designer help them face problems with the stovetop hood, countertops and potential design plan issues, but decisions made off the books could potentially delay the entire renovation. It's a stressful project with lots of lows and highs but the house is eventually molded into something the family is excited to move into and enjoy for years to come.</p>
