Використовуючи свою улюблену техніку малювання на плівці та біпакові телевізійні негативи, Брекідж намагався наблизити гіпнагогію, тобто пограничний стан між неспанням й сном. І в результаті відтворити останні секунди перед засинанням біля телевізора, коли зорові нерви передають мозку лише спотворені мерехтливі тіні та вогні.
