Доля розділила їх, і свої зрілі роки Фані провів у Афінах, прагнучи за наказу дідуся бути не лише чудовим кулінаром, але і по можливості «підсолодити» життя людям, які навколо нього.Після багатьох років Фані повертається у Стамбул, до старого діда і жінки, яка колись була його першим коханням, і лише тоді розуміє, що забув залишити бодай дрібку запашного перцю для себе самого.
