Розповідь про двох вампірів: маму і дочку. Вони оселяються в домі простого хлопця Ноеля, який і не підозрює, ким є нові співмешканки і що насправді вони не є сестрами. Старша Клара не хоче, щоб її сприймали, як маму Елеонор, тому вона всім розповідає, що вони сестри. Вона постійно бреше, власне, з цієї причини між мамою і дочкою виникають постійні конфлікти. Елеонор не бажає так жити - в постійних переїздах, і не хоче, щоб її мати займалася проституцією. Вона хоче, щоб її справжню історію хтось вислухав. Але є одне правило у світі вампірів: хто дізнається правду, тому час померти...
Сюжет

Peter Clifford, a young Catholic priest from Manchester, is transferred to the village of Ballykissangel, Ireland, and is taken by the dry-humored publican Assumpta Fitzgerald who has almost the exact opposite of his good nature and dislikes the organized church.
