Батько та четверо синів Бантонов, що займаються розбоєм і грабежами, захоплюють касу шахтарського селища. Їхніми слідами прямує поліцейський інспектор Вінтерс (Джон Салліван) і захоплює в полон одного з синів Бантонов, Коя (Джок Махоні), за затримання якого призначено велику нагороду. На зворотному шляху Бантони, що залишилися, влаштовують йому засідку і вбивають, але тут з'являється Тарзан (Гордон Скотт), вбиває одного з Бантонов і знову бере в полон Коя, якого збирається доставити в поліцейську дільницю міста Кайробі і передати належну нагороду родині загиблого Вінтерса.Бантони на чолі з батьком Авелем (Джон Керродін) з таким розкладом не згодні, і прямують у погоню за Тарзаном, по дорозі знищивши єдиний транспортний засіб у Кайробі - річкове пасажирське суденце. Тарзану доводиться йти в Кайробі пішки через джунглі, та ще й прихопивши з собою пасажирів судна зі своїми заморочками, крім полоненого Коя.
