Дія серіалу розгортається в 2369-2375 роках на космічній станції «Далекий Космос 9» , яка знаходиться на орбіті тільки що звільненої від окупації Кардассіанської Імперії планети Бейджор.Випадково в безпосередній близькості від станції виявляється просторова аномалія - коридор, що зв'язує Бейджор з Гамма-квадрантом галактики. Це відкриття перетворює «Глибокий Космос 9» з фактично даремної станції в торговий центр.
Зовсім зненацька через аномалію на орбіту Бейджора вступають війська нового ворога - Домініона.

Друге народження Зоряного Шляху.Приблизно через 20 років було вирішено реанімувати старий серіал. На хвилі тріумфу кінофільмів (яких на той час зняли вже чотири) з'явився молодший брат першого серіалу. У світі «Зоряного Шляху» минуло 80 років. Змінився екіпаж, удосконалилися технології, змінився навіть Ентерпрайз. Залишилися тільки знайоме й улюблене нам ім'я корабля та мета його команди – смілови прямувати туди, де не ступала нога людини!

На хвилі тріумфу кінофільмів (яких на той час зняли вже чотири) з'явився молодший брат першого серіалу. У світі «Зоряного Шляху» минуло 80 років. Змінився екіпаж, удосконалилися технології, змінився навіть Ентерпрайз. Залишилися тільки знайоме й улюблене нам ім'я корабля та мета його команди – смілови прямувати туди, де не ступала нога людини!

Blue Thunder is a 1984 ABC television series based on the movie of the same title featuring the Blue Thunder helicopter.The series uses the converted Aérospatiale Gazelle helicopter and large portions of stock footage from the 1983 film. A ground unit named "Rolling Thunder" backed up the helicopter in the television series. This was a large support van with a desert camouflage off-road vehicle stored inside.
The television series cast includes James Farentino, Dana Carvey, and former professional American football players Bubba Smith and Dick Butkus. The series was canceled by ABC after they felt the similar Airwolf on CBS would win the ratings battle. Also, the series aired at the same time as the CBS soap opera Dallas on Friday nights, and lost.
Eleven episodes were made before the series was cancelled.

Attorney and US Navy vet Stewart "Mac" McMillan is appointed Commissioner of Police for the city of San Francisco. He often handles the very high profile cases personally. Helping him out on many of them is his wife Sally, who's father was a detective for the SFPD. In fact, Sally gets so involved that she often puts herself in harms way. They are often assisted by Mac's loyal, but somewhat inept assistant Sgt. Charlie Enright and their hard drinking, smart mouthed live in maid Mildred. Sadly, a few years after Mac's appointment Sally dies in a plane crash. Also, Mildred quits her position and is replaced by her scatterbrained sister Agatha. Also, in later years Enright is promoted to lieutenant.
