Actress. Best known for providing the voice of Bambi's mother and one of the pheasants in the Disney classic "Bambi". Her career began by doing radio shows which include the role of 'Peg Riley' on the long-running seires "The Life of Riley" (1944 to 1951), "Big Town" and "Broadway Is My Beat". She also portrayed 'Martha Conklin' in both the radio and television version of "Our Miss Brooks" from 1953 to 1955. Other credits include guest appearance ... s on televiosn shows such as "Racket Squad", "Climax!", "The Bob Cummings Show", "I Love Lucy", "Father Knows Best", "Panic!", "Code 3", "You Are There", "Date with the Angels", "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", "The Court of Last Resort", "The Gale Storm Show", "The Real McCoys", "Rawhide", "North by Northwest", "The Jack Benny Program", "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp", "The Flintstones", "Going My Way", "Perry Mason", "Sunset Strip", "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" and many more.
