Сюжет
Троє вояків повертаються у рідне місто з фронтів Другої світової війни, але не відчувають жодної впевненості у завтрашньому дні. Кожен з них по-своєму переживає процес повернення до нормального життя. Піхотний сержант Ел Стівенсон отримує свою колишню роботу банківського службовця, однак повинен знову звикати до родинного життя і заново пізнавати своїх майже дорослих дітей. Капітан авіації Фред Деррі повертається до красивої, порожньої і невірної дружини, яка думає тільки про вбрання і розваги. Гроші, накопичені за час служби, швидко закінчуються, і він змушений влаштуватися продавцем у супермаркеті. Моряк Гомер Перріш приходить з фронту інвалідом, без обох рук, і відчуває великі сумніви: відновлювати колишні стосунки зі своєю нареченою Вілмою або відпустити її.Коментарі:
