Зло притягає зло, і Пердіта знаходить собі партнера - Ромео Долороза, справжнього гангстера і маніяка, рухомого тваринними інстинктами. Їх життя - це гонитва на автомобілях і вертольотах, бійки і перестрілки, наркотики, кривава любов і магія вуду. За ними полюють ФБР, поліція і гангстери. Що вони планують і чого вони можуть добитися разом, можна тільки здогадуватися, але вони здатні виправдати самі немислимі очікування.

Set in 1940s northern Mexico, this film re-tells the story of "The Lonely Hearts Killers", a famous couple of murderers who made victims of lonely and wealthy widows in the USA. Coral (Orozco) is a rotund and passionate nurse who knows handsome gigolo Nicolas Estrella (Gimenez Cacho) and falls for him immediately. Nicolas rejects her because she's not rich, but Coral is determined to get him at any cost. She abandons her children and follows the man in spite of his way of living. Together they will scheme to swindle and murder women who look for love and companions writing letters to a sentimental courier.

Expanding on ideas from "La Tarea" (Homework), Director Jaime Humberto Hermosillo continues his story, now of a young man completing an assignment for his film/video class. The young man invites Marieda, a middle-aged woman, over to his aunt's house to rehearse for a video drama she believes they will eventually record. But she doesn't realize that she is being videotaped since her arrival. After a faux-sex scene rehearsal, they do make love, which causes an unexpected reaction within the young man. Minutes later the real horror of their true relationship is revealed!
