Сюжет
Франція, 1949 рік. Зневірившися знайти роботу, вчитель музики Клемент Матьє потрапляє в інтернат для важких підлітків. Там він бачить, до яких жорстоких «виховних заходів» вдається ректор цього закладу Рашан. Чим більше знущається Рашан над хлопчиками, тим агресивніше вони стають.Добродушного за вдачею Матьє обурюють ці методи, але він не в змозі відкрито протестувати. Але одного разу йому, автору численних музичних творів, які він скромно ховає в своїй кімнаті, приходить в голову чудова ідея: організувати шкільний хор.
Сюжет
