Seeing the children in serious danger, he decides to become involved and rescue the greedy pair, disguised as a truant officer. However, no good deed goes unpunished as the rather hungry witch decides that a rabbit would be an acceptable substitute ingredient for her dinner. Fortunately, a good deed is its own reward as Bugs uses her vase of magic powder to transform her into a gorgeous female bunny with a feminine voice but Hazel's laugh. As he gets ready to leave with the bunny beauty, Bugs looks at the audience and comments: "Ah sure, I know. But aren't they all witches inside?".

The bull's comeback is short-lived; just after Bugs makes out his will, he lures the bull out of the arena, just in time to set up a rube-like device that leads to the bull's defeat.
