On the night of a big fashion show, world-famous French designer Yves Malmaison is poisoned. The same night, his murderers are trying to kill Chilly D, a member of the popular rap group, The Funky Four. As Fancy dies on the street, a midget witch (grateful to him for handing her a beer earlier in the night) tries to do something to save him. The next day, as the body of Yves Malmaison is buried, his soul wakes up to find himself in Chilly D's body. Both souls are trapped inside the rapper's body, and every time he suffers a blow, they switch personalities. A tough black rapper becomes a fruity fashion designer and then back again.

Сюжет

Чорношкірий хлопчик-сирота, якого називають Світ Світбек, знаходить собі притулок в одному з борделів Лос-Анджелеса. Подорослішавши, він починає виступати в секс-шоу і після одного з таких виступів його заарештовують двоє білих поліцейських. Причина арешту проста — в місті сталося резонансне вбивство і поліції для статистики треба відпрацювати декількох підозрюваних. Вони обіцяють Світбеку, що протримають його до ранку, а потім відпустять за браком доказів. Дорогою до відділку поліцейські зупиняються, щоб затримати ще одного чорношкірого — юнака на прізвисько Му-Му, члена партії Чорної Пантери. Починається бійка, після якої вся поліція міста оголошує полювання на Світбека.

Jeff Gerber, an insurance agent, lives in a typical suburban neighborhood. He is also both racist and a fitness freak. But Jeff's bigoted world of taunting and harassing black people on and off the job is turned upside down when his skin inexplicably turns dark overnight. As Jeff tries to come to terms with this unexplained phenomenon that has befallen him, he soon becomes the victim himself when all of his friends and neighbors suddenly shun and harass him. This puts a strain on his marriage and loyal wife Althea, who begins to crack under the pressure. When all medical attempts to change his skin back to his former color fail, Jeff accepts that Kharma has caught up with him. Jeff tries to see the light of being a persecuted black man in this cruel and segregated world with the help of some of some new black friends, some of whom were people he, as a white man, taunted and harassed.
