Потім господар несподівано помер, але пес протягом 9 років, щодня о 5 годині вечора приходив на вокзал зустрічати господаря і чекав його до останнього поїзда. Потім японці поставили йому пам'ятник на тому місці, де він постійно чекав господаря.
