Сюжет

50-і роки. Маленьке містечко в Техасі. Дуейн Джексон і Сонні Кроуфорд - «зірки» місцевої шкільної футбольної команди. Дуейн - агресивний, а Сонні - тихий і чутливий. Вони - кращі друзі.
Сюжет розкручується майже непомітно, деталізуючи відносини між жителями містечка. В містечку проживає розумово відсталий хлопчик Біллі, над ним жорстоко знущаються і жартують завсідники місцевого кінотеатру, при якому є кафе і більярдна, що належить Сему Льву, колишньому ковбою, кумиру, обожнюваному всіма хлопчиськами.

Сюжет

Arriving in Arizona, the band members discover that the hotel is haunted and that it properly belongs to young Jimmy Benson (Curtis), the nephew of the previous owner. The "ghosts," however, turns out to be a trio of confidence men, Zeke Winslow (Guinn "Big Boy" Williams), Noah Jones (Raymond Hatton) and Slim Jensen Victor Potel, who are hoping to buy the place themselves.
