Грудень 1944 рік, Ліонель Еванс, всесвітньо відомий американський диригент, знаходиться на гастролях в нещодавно звільненій Бельгії. Але під час німецького контрнаступу, Еванса та інших членів оркестру беруть в полон і привозять в старий замок в Люксембурзі. Нацисти повинні стратити всіх полонених, проте генерал Шиллер вирішує зробити це тільки після того, як оркестр відіграє для нього концерт.
