Близьке майбутнє, 2032 рік. Техніка досягла небаченого прогресу. Це світ, який люди розділяють з кіборгами і роботами. Бато - детектив відділу поліції по боротьбі з тероризмом. Він - живий кіборг, оснащений штучними руками, ногами і іншими частинами тіла. Залишився лише його колишній мозок та пам'ять про неї, про Мотоко Кусанагі. Разом з напарником Тогусой Бато залучений до розслідування серії вбивств роботами своїх власників, причому всі роботи відносяться до еспериментальної моделі секс-андроїдів фірми Locus Solus.

Дитячість пропустили через м'ясорубку, замаячили скелети в шафі і літри кровиночки на руках. Одинадцята серія взагалі гідна аплодисментів.Ще здається, що серіал морально застарілий, зараз в такому стилі вже не знімають. Це добре б виглядало в 1992, але в 2002 виглядає анахронізмом. Тільки і це відчуття у результаті випарувалося.

Following the events of the first movie, the Militia finishes restoration work on its excavated spaceship and travels to the moon to deal with Gym Ghingnham and Agrippa Maintainer, who along with Dianna Soreil form a governing triumvirate over the Moonrace. On the moon, the political situation rapidly evolves as new deals are made, setting the stage for a decisive final battle to determine the relationship between the people of Earth and the technologically advanced Moonrace.
