Це фрегли, які живуть безтурботним життям і більшу частину часу проводять в іграх, дослідженнях навколишньої місцевості і всіляких розвагах. Їхній світ стикається з людським завдяки дірі в стіні майстерні ексцентричного винахідника на прізвисько Док. Він не підозрює про існування фреглів, але їх терпіти не може його собака Спрокет.Усередині величезної підземної цивілізації мешкають також дузери, крихітні істоти-невтомні будівельники, мета життя яких - безперервне заняття архітектурою. Вони живуть в симбіозі з фреглами, ті поїдають їх споруди з карамелеподібного матеріалу, який виготовляється з редиски. А редис фрегли крадуть у Горгів, величезних кошлатих істот, що живуть із зворотного боку від світу людей. Є ще Купа Сміття і її веселі вісники.
