Найбільше бажання 10-річного Оскара – це їздити по прерії разом з матір'ю. Проте, все сталося, не так як очікувалося: його мама відправляється до Америки, і він змушений проводити всі літні канікули на нудній фермі свого дідуся. У Оскара є один єдиний друг – аутсайдер Леві, який розмовляє зі своїм поні. Щоб якось втекти від похмурої реальності, у них назріває план: Оскар, разом зі своїм новим другом Леві та його короткозорим поні вирішує переплисти Атлантичний океан у дідовому човні.

Varg Veum is summoned by the chief of police Hamre to a hostage drama on a farm outside Bergen. A married couple have been brutally murdered, and all evidence points to their foster son, 16 year old Jan Egil. The kid refuses to talk to anyone else than to Veum, who knows him since childhood. He swears he had not killed his foster parents. But there is a couple social workers at the welfare home for stray kids, where Egil had landed when he was 1 year old. They got deeply touched by the drama as defenders of the young population of the social home, for it's been plagued by a new drogue called GHB (Hydroxybutyric acid) and several kids had died on it. When Egil declares himself guilty of the murder, Hamre, the chief of police, asks Veum to get his hands out of a solved case. But Veum discovers that Egil is been forced by the knowledge a disturbing reality concerning his foster father and this drug.

Коли конфлікт вичерпав себе й переріс у не бувале на той час повстання для північно-норвезької зони. За деякими даними на честь тих події встановили пам'ятник саамам у центрі Норвегії у 20 столітті, тому що те повстання пам'ятають дотепер.

Проте закоханого в неї Джейкоба це не лякало не дивлячись на значну різницю у віці і громадську думку, він одружується на Діні.

As they brutally kill a family in a remote area, including the parents and their little daughter, the families teenage son, Aigin, observes the slaughter. He manages to flee from these killers and reaches a camp with other Lapps whose inhabitants are worried if he has been able to hide his track. Afraid of the murderous people, they decide to flee to the coast. The boy stays alone to avenge his families murder. Unfortunately, they get him before he can do anything and force him to lead them to the other Lapps. He guides them but has a plan to destroy the barbarous people before reaching the camp.

The film finds enduring significance in Munch's brief affair with "Mrs. Heiberg" and his participation in the café society of anarchist Hans Jaeger in Christiania and later in Berlin with Strindberg. Through it all comes Munch's melancholy and his desire to render on canvas, cardboard, paper, stone, and wood his innermost feelings.
