But she is hit by depression and is only barely saved when she tries to kill herself and her unborn child. Schwartz is trying to take over the café, in order to turn it into a gambling club, but Joakim Nielsen won't sell. When Joakim Nielsen dies he leaves the café to his niece on the condition that she herself takes leadership of the café. But Schwartz is still plotting to take over using blackmail and other gangster methods.
