Фільм розповідає про маловідомий, але визначальний період життя Марлона Брандо, коли на початку 1960-х років він назавжди закохується у Французьку Полінезію під час зйомок стрічки «Бунтівники з “Баунті”». Відчувши втому від Голлівуду та власної слави, Брандо знаходить на атолі Тетіароа, неподалік Таїті, місце, яке стає для нього не просто притулком, а новим сенсом життя. Далеко від червоних доріжок і студійних інтриг, він намагається втілити сміливу мрію — створити сучасний, екологічний простір майбутнього, співпрацюючи з архітектором Бернардом Джаджем. Паралельно з роботою над культовими ролями у «Хрещеному батькові» та «Останньому танго в Парижі», Брандо веде внутрішню боротьбу між мистецтвом, відповідальністю, і прагненням утекти від світу, який зробив його легендою.

Jordan Landa is not your average Latin girl. She's Jewish. She has dreams - big ones. As a rising star in the debate world her elusive dreams seem finally within her grasp. But when the "perfect guy" from her past reappears, so do her desires for a life she thought she didn't want. With beautiful Miami as a backdrop, a cutting-edge soundtrack, and a hot sexy young cast, it is the perfect setting for a girl to choose between love and debate. "Love and Debate" tells the story of a girl who grows up in a family where the customary role of women is to get married to a Jewish man and have kids. Yet this is not enough for Jordan, she aspires to be something more. In her senior year of high school, with the help of a teacher, Coach Amal, she finds herself attracted to the debate scene. Immediately, she knows she's found her calling and quickly becomes one of the top debaters in the country, earning a scholarship to Harvard. While at college, through a bad breakup and a horrifying sexual assault, she struggles to continue to keep her life under control and appease her family and almost loses everything she's worked so hard for.
