І коли він отримав лист з повідомленням про те, що давно забутий дідусь залишив йому в спадок земельну ділянку на Алясці, то відразу вирішив, що його заповітні мрії про життя, сповнене пригод, нарешті збулися.Але не все так просто: щоб успадкувати землю, Кевін повинен взяти участь в найзнаменитіших у світі перегонах на собачих упряжках від Анкоріджа до Нома протяжністю 1049 миль. За допомогою прекрасної Бонні Кевін повинен не тільки виграти гонку, але і відбити запеклі атаки на свою нову власність з боку корумпованого адвоката Клайва Торнтона.

Всі люди їй здаються скучними і дурними, мабуть, так воно і є. Тоді і починаються дивні і смішні пригоди, пов'язані з котом, ФБР, поліцією і... мало не з інопланетянами. Двоє злочинців помилково викрадають покоївку, прийнявши її за дружину олігарха. Кіт Ді Сі, відоміший як Жахливий кіт, під час своїх шастань по смітниках випадково натикається на зв'язану жертву викрадення.
