Anne (37) has given up finding a man, who will fit in to her sensible and controlled life. She has therefore decided to get inseminated with a carefully selected sperm donor. But as her hormones get the better of her she realizes that the child may come to resemble the father and possibly get his less flattering characteristics. Anne feels compelled to find the sperm donor and ensure that he is as perfect as she imagines. She begins to stalk him and slowly but surely she gets involved in his life and finds out that he is far from her idea of a perfect man. Against all odds chemistry occurs between them and Anne has to decide between being in control of her life or letting go and see what love brings.

Сюжет драматичного телесеріалу «Уряд» розгортається в сучасній Данії та розповідає про перипетії політичної боротьби та їхні наслідки. Країна напередодні парламентських виборів. Медіа-раднику партії помірних Касперу Юлу вдається знайти досить серйозний компромат на чинного прем’єр-міністра. Однак головна героїня Біргітте Нюборг, що є главою цієї партії, на превеликий подив Каспера відмовляється використовувати компрометуючі дані. Тоді він вирішує надати їх лідеру опозиційних сил – Мікеле Лаугенсену. Той із великим ентузіазмом використовує отриману інформацію на заключних теледебатах. Однак скандал, що розгорівся, призводить не тільки до нищівної поразки чинних політичних сил, але й вкрай негативно позначається на самому Лаугесені. У результаті цього партія помірних, яка була явним аутсайдером на виборах, отримує більшість у парламенті, а Біргітте Нюборг отримує право формувати уряд країни. In Copenhagen, the writer and journalist Jacob and his girlfriend Nina are surprised when his beloved sister Julie, who became handicapped after an attempt of suicide, informs that she is going to marry her Internet acquaintance Anker. However, on her wedding night, Julie commits suicide in the bathtub of the hotel, dying in the hands of Anker. After the funeral services, Anker leaves Copenhagen and while packing Julie belongings, Jacob finds a book that belongs to Anker with an obituary identical to the one Anker had written in Julie's grave. The intrigued Jacob calls Anker, but his cellular is out of service. Jacob decides to investigate the destination of Anker and finds him in the small town of Mørke in the Midden-Jutland. When he meets his former son-in-law, he finds that he is going to marry the handicapped Hanne on the next Saturday. Jacob tells Hanne's sister Sonja his fears about Anker, but neither she nor the local deputy Carl believe on his words. Jacob decides to stay for the wedding while investigating the circumstances the women died after marrying Anker.
