Сюжет (англ.)

After a brain hemorrhage, Maud, a filmmaker, wakes up one morning in a half-dead body that has left her hemiplegic and facing inevitable solitude. Bedridden but determined to pursue her latest film project, she discovers Vilko, a con man who swindles celebrities, on a TV talk show. He is arrogant, magnetic and mesmerizing. Maud wants him for her new film. They meet. He sticks around. He swindles her, too, borrowing astronomical sums of money.
He takes everything but gives her joy, a family. This film tells the story of the abuse of weakness to which Maud falls victim.

In LiÃ¨ge, a group of men gathers every day in a cafÃ© situated near the steel factory which once reigned supreme. They play cards in a warm atmosphere but that hardly masks their quiet desperation. All unemployed, either because they can't find work like Patrick or because they have been made redundant like Robert and Jean-Pierre, they try to forget their lot in the warm atmosphere of the place. One day, Marc, a newcomer, joins them. It soon appears that the man has just been released from prison and even if he is determined to go straight his presence suddenly inspires Robert : why not try criminality ?
