Фільм по мотивам твору Чарльза Діккенса «Різдвяна пісня» (A Christmas Carol, 1841) - класичної різдвяної історії про скнару на ім'я Скрудж, якого хвилюють лише гроші. Скрудж до всіх ставиться зі презирством, не має друзів і навіть відмовився від єдиного свого родича - племінника Фреда.
