Фані народився у звичайній грецькій родині, проте усе своє дитинство він прожив у Туреччині під наглядом діда, який був не лише чудовим кулінаром, але і філософом. Дід жив за принципом «у житті як і в їжі, завше знайдеться місце прянощам». Людина повинна уміти додавати у життя значимі події, щоб додати йому певний «аромат». Фані зростав і під його керівництвом став першокласним кухарем. Доля розділила їх, і свої зрілі роки Фані провів у Афінах, прагнучи за наказу дідуся бути не лише чудовим кулінаром, але і по можливості «підсолодити» життя людям, які навколо нього.Після багатьох років Фані повертається у Стамбул, до старого діда і жінки, яка колись була його першим коханням, і лише тоді розуміє, що забув залишити бодай дрібку запашного перцю для себе самого.

So, he sets up an ad hoc gang with his close friends in order to rob a bank. The operation, however, is crowned by complete failure.
