Decades have passed since the Greater Grail was taken from Fuyuki. The Mage’s Association asks Kairi Sisigou to take part in the Great Holy Grail War.

Berserker of Red approaches the Black Faction stronghold. The Yggdmillennia clan and their Servants seize the opportunity to take action.
Saber of Black vanishes after giving his heart to the young homunculus boy. Ruler swears to do everything in her power to grant him his freedom.

9. A Hundred Flames, A Hundred Flowers
With the battles raging on, the Rider of Red learns who the Archer of Black is, forcing him to take on his former master.
Sieg stands up to fight a formidable foe and protect his savior, the Rider of Black. Though weak, he's soon joined by a hell-bent Berserker of Black.

Ruler and the Black Faction rush into the Sky Garden in chase of the Red Faction, who are now in possession of the Greater Grail.
Sieg admits that he can't give up his desire to help his brethren, and the Rider of Black gives him his full support. Until Celenike shows up.
Despite Roche's blind admiration for Avicebron, the Caster of Black reveals to Roche his deep-seated reasons for turning on the Black Faction.
To stop Shiro, acting head of the Yggdmillennia clan Fiore proposes a joint attack on the Hanging Garden with Sisigou and others.
When the mysterious Jack the Ripper resurfaces to slaughter more magi, Fiore forms a plan to corner the killer.
While walking through town in hopes of luring out Jack the Ripper, Sieg and Jeanne observe the townspeople and discuss what it means to be human.
