A trigger-happy Swede and a timid Brit, who are both at risk of losing their badges, partner up on a grisly murder case.
Sophie and Tom catch a lead with a little help from the chief. But it means Sophie must talk to her mother for the first time in years.
Identifying a suspicious person of interest, Sophie and Tom sneak into his house and regrettably interrupt a rather peculiar religious ritual.
Tom feels a connection with Sophie's estranged mother. Sophie’s recklessness gets her kicked off the case -- until another body turns up.
Tom and Sophie go to England to question the victim's widow. Back in Sweden, a celebrated crime reporter gets involved with the case. Too involved.
Sophie's old boyfriend becomes a prime suspect. Case closed? Maybe officially, but something just doesn’t feel right.
What does the McGuffin Batter company have to do with it all? Also, can you even kill someone with a hand blender?
The trail leads to a tense standoff at a cabin in the woods. The past catches up with Kristina and Tom. The killer has one last move to make.
