Victor assigns Derek to an overnight job in Bedford, wining and dining a potential customer. Alf tackles Maurice Jones about selling the new shop to a grocer. Jones says he doesn't care what the buyer does with it. Rita offers Jenny and Flick the tenancy on No.7 when she moves. Jenny is unsure as she has unhappy memories in the house but they ultimately accept. Alf tells Audrey they can't move and will have to open later to compete with Patel.
