The police bring Tommy in for questioning, but he barely speaks. Investigator Mariana Enríquez takes on the case as drama unfolds with her ex-husband.
Tommy misses his girlfriend Cristi as he struggles to adjust to his temporary new home. Mariana unexpectedly meets Beckham, Tommy's dangerous brother.
Mariana finds a creative way to get Tommy to talk, and ends up facing some of the trauma from her past. Another piece of the puzzle is found.
The police set up a crime scene reconstruction, but Beckham gets in the way. Mariana arrests an uncooperative suspect. Tommy makes a shocking revelation.
The judge decides Tommy is able to answer for his actions. As Tommy awaits his fate, Mariana hunts down Beckham to uncover the truth about that night.
Mariana discovers that someone on the force has tampered with evidence as her custody battle hits a major bump. Beckham devises a plan to save Tommy.
Beckham sets his plan in motion, but Cristi gets in his way. The police chase the brothers, and Tommy and Cristi share a special moment.
With Beckham dead, Mariana is pushed to let the case go but refuses, leading to a surprise turn of events.
