Але вже після першої зустрічі з сусідами стало зрозуміло, що тут щось не так. Цілком звичайні на перший погляд люди виявилися дещо дивакуватими. Хіба не підозріло, що замість обіду вони воліють підкріпитися читанням книг? І це аж ніяк не єдина дивина!
Але дивним речам незабаром знайшлося ще більш нетривіальне пояснення. Всі жителі селища - прибульці з іншої планети, які вже 10 років чекають сигналу про повернення на батьківщину. А сімейство Марті і Деббі - перші люди, яких інопланетяни допустили у свій світ. Чи зможуть інопланетні істоти, настільки вдало прийняли людську подобу, знайти спільну мову й ужитися з новоселами? Звикнуть Чи Деббі, Марті і їх троє дітей до того, що вони - єдина людська родина на території селища?
«Сусіди» - смішна історія про те, як представники двох різних цивілізацій намагаються ужитися і побудувати добросусідські відносини. А також про те, що рутина і битовуха - поняття універсальні і навіть міжгалактичні. Загалом, і у інопланетян є свої сімейні проблеми!
