Детектив Діксон працює у відділі з розслідування вбивств. Остання справа не представляє собою нічого нового - серія вбивств і згвалтувань молодих жінок в місцевому мотелі, неоплачений рахунок за секс по телефону, підпис в гостьовій книзі мотелю ім'ям боксера і ціла купа незрозумілих загадок. Розслідування заходить в глухий кут, але на допомогу приходить журналістка Кетрін, краса і чарівність, якою зачаровують Діксона. У Кетрін є корисна інформація. Діксон вистежує серійного вбивцю, проте, коли йому не вдається наздогнати злочинця, подальше переслідування стає його особистою справою.
