Частина дії відбувається в селі старовірів, де керівники громади негативно ставляться до Аероґраду (підтримуючи японського агента), а молодь, навпаки, радіє йому. Наприкінці фільму Стєпан Ґлушак самочинно «засуджує» до страти свого друга (який став «зрадником») і вбиває його. У фільмі також присутній образ «доброго тубільця» — представника корінних народів Далекого Сходу. Він — доброзичливий, примітивний і, звісно ж, у захваті від радянської влади.
