Type II diabetes rates rose in the U.K. Approximately 7,000 people per year have amputations as a result of the diet-related disease and 20,000 children suffer preventable tooth decay—burdening the National Health Service. In this documentary, Jamie Oliver reveals how much added sugar is in healthy-looking food and explores how the food and beverage industry markets to children in supermarket product placement and TV ads. He visits Mexico to witness how Coca-Cola targeted rural indigenous communities and learn about the new government soda tax that is reducing consumption and spreading public awareness about the health risks of sugary drinks.
