Her husband Walter Eberhart decided to live in a calm suburb, but Joanna did not like the neighborhood with beautiful and perfect housewives. She becomes friend of Bobbie Markowe and Charmaine Wimperis, and when they change Joanna tries to escape.

Вінслоу Ліч талановитий композитор, який співає і пише музику. Його наївністю користується продюсер музичної компанії Свон і обманом отримує його пісні для використання їх у своєму мюзиклі. Шукаючи справедливості, Вінслоу проникає в компанію і випадково знайомиться з дівчиною Фенікс. Він дізнається, що вона бере участь у конкурсі для отримання ролі в мюзиклі. Але незабаром помічники Свона підставляють композитора і він відправляється у в'язницю, з якої незабаром втікає. Через нещасний випадок він падає в річку, але не гине, а стає «Привидом» озлобленим і спраглим помсти.

In 1795, in England, the young woman Catherine moves to the house of her fiancé Charles Fengriffen in the country to get married with him. When she arrives, she feels interest in the portraits of the Fengriffen family, particularly in the one of Charle's grandfather Henry Fengriffen, which seems to have a sort of evil entity possessing it. While admiring Henry's face, a severed hand attacks Catherine through the picture on the wall. Later, she gets married with Charles, beginning her journey of mystery, eerie apparitions, secrets and deaths, and having her days filled with fear and the nights with horrors in a cursed family.
