Сюжет
Андре Моро — незаконний син знатного аристократа, який не знає, хто його батько, втрачає друга, котрий написав листівку про свободу, рівність, братерство. Його товариш упав від руки найкращого дуелянта Франції — маркіза Де Мейна і помер у нього на руках.Моро заприсягнувся, що вбивця помре від його руки тією ж смертю.
