У жовтні 1941 року війська захоплюють і розграбовують місто Петрозаводськ, після чого роту переміщують до річки Свір для захисту від зимової атаки радянської армії. Далі стає тільки гарячіше... Це третя екранізація однойменного роману фінського письменника Вяйньо Лінна.
