Алан Сміті (також Аллен Сміті ) — офіційний псевдонім, що ним користувались режисери , які хотіли відмовитися від проекту. Використання придуманого у 1968 році імені було офіційно припинено у 2000 році. Це був єдиний псевдонім для членів Гільдії режисерів Америки (DGA), незадоволених кінцевим продуктом, які таким чином інформували комісію гільдії, що вони не змогли здійснити творчий контроль над фільмом.
