Сюжет
Нік Монаган – поліцейський з Чикаго. Рік тому, під час чергування, він застрелив людину й досі не може оговтатися від того, що сталося. Пропозиція очолити поліцейський відділок у тихому елітному містечку з'являється дуже вчасно. Разом із дружиною та двома дітьми Нік перебирається до Воріт у надії почати нове спокійне життя. Але якої там. Уже в перший робочий день йому доводиться розслідувати таємниче зникнення робітника. І це тільки початок цілої низки страшних і загадкових подій. Атмосфера в місті загострюється, конфлікти виникають один за одним. При близькому розгляді мирні мешканці містечка виявляються надприродними істотами. Нік розуміє – він і його родина опинилися в епіцентрі протистояння споконвіку ворогуючих кланів вампірів і перевертнів.
