And as a nationwide driver shortage threatens to stall Australia's economy, a new generation of Rookie Truckers is stepping in to take the wheel. Guiding them through this baptism-by-fire are Yogi, Steve, and Sludge—three long-haul veterans determined to pass on the torch before they hang up their keys.Facing blowouts, breakdowns, and extreme weather on the open road, the Rookie Truckers are pushed to the limit to earn their stripes—and a full-time job. They meet all kinds of colourful characters as they crisscross the continent. And along the way, fine-tune their survival skills, master the art of bush mechanics, and grow into the truckers who will keep Australia moving. Gritty and gripping, it's a high-stakes all-terrain journey packed with rugged landscapes, real drama, and storylines of mentorship and transformation.
