Дія відбувається в недалекому майбутньому в футуристичному Дивному місті. Місто умовно поділене на дві половини: одна - де живуть багаті люди, друга - де проживають бідні. У майбутньому наука і техніка роблять величезний крок вперед, і тепер з'являється багато нових технічних пристроїв, змінюється і техніка для дому - наприклад, телевізор, також відбувається великий прорив в медицині, що дозволяє легше визначати діагнози і лікувати пацієнтів. Навіть людський організм оснащується новими революційними пристроями, що значно полегшують повсякденне життя.Але при цьому люди залишаються саме такими, якими вони є і в даний час - звичайними людьми зі своїми неприємностями, переживаннями, труднощами в особистому житті та іншими проблемами, які знайомі і кожній сучасній людині. Вони спілкуються і дружать, сваряться і миряться, знаходять другу половинку, ходять на роботу, розважаються в нічних клубах, проводять все більше часу в інтернеті, щодня потрапляють в ті чи інші курйозні ситуації, які в світі майбутнього стають ще більш кумедними. У центрі подій знаходяться кілька людей різного віку і соціального статусу, які намагаються жити в цьому дивному і дивовижному світі.
