Експериментальний фільм-колаж створений американським художником Джозефом Корнелом у 1936 році. Випадково знайшовши на розпродажі 16 міліметрову копію фільму «На схід від Борнео» з Роуз Гобарт у головній ролі, Корнел був настільки зачарований акторкою, що вирізав з фільму всі кадри, де її не було. До тих, що залишилися, режисер додав кадри з фільму про сонячне затемнення і перемонтував це все в окрему короткометражку, яку назвав на честь виконавиці головної ролі — «Роуз Гобарт». Також Корнел видалив оригінальний саундтрек, а замість нього додав дві пісні з платівки бразильского співака Нестора Амарала, купленої в тому ж магазині мотлоху. Під час показів режисер умисно пропускав проєкцію через блакитне скло та уповільнював плівку до швидкості, з якою демонструють німе кіно (16 кадрів на секунду проти 24 у звуковому). Це надавало кадрам зі звичайного пригодницького фільму відтінку сюрреалістичності та таємничості.

Mother-in-law has been presented with a new set of false teeth, the gift of her son-in-law. The teeth are much admired by the family, but unfortunately their acquisition enables mother-in-law to chatter even more volubly than before. She gets into a quarrel with a neighbor on the street. In the argument she drops her teeth and loses them. A man passing by finds them. While examining them closely the "jaws" close with a snap on his nose. Another person coming along helps him to get rid of the biting teeth and places them on a bench. A gentleman of leisure coming along takes a seat on the bench, but instead of getting the rest and comfort he anticipated, he finds himself in the same predicament as if he had sat on a sharp jawed rat-trap. His screams of anguish bring two policemen to the rescue, who gingerly remove the dental apparatus. They take it to the police station, but when they get there, in explaining to the chief how the teeth work, they themselves are cruelly bitten. At last the chief of police, with the assistance of a pair of tongs from the stove, succeeds in securing the teeth and throws them out of the window beyond the possibility of creating further trouble.

As the man rushes at the well, the demon disappears, and the well suddenly surges out of the ground into the sky like Jack's beanstalk. Two snakes [hand puppets] spring out of the side of the well and taunt the man, then vanish. Three demons appear, jeer at the man, and disappear. The base of the well opens up and a dragon emerges, roars, grabs the man by the foot, and attempts to pull him in. Then four human-sized frogs crawl out of the well, encircle the man, seize him, fling him in, and dance away. The man climbs out. The well slides away, then vanishes, replaced by the laughing demon. The villagers arrive and join the man in attempting to capture the demon, but he turns into a bat and flies away.
