Loosely following a traditional Passover Seder, events from the Book of Exodus are retold by Moses, Aharon, the Angel of Death, Jesus, and the director's own father. But there's another side to this story: that of the Goddess, humankind's original deity. Seder-Masochism resurrects the Great Mother in a tragic struggle against the forces of Patriarchy.

Учениця середньої школи Оріка несподівано втрачає в автокатастрофі обох батьків. Після трагедії їй доводиться переїхати до бабусі і вчитися в неї вести господарство. На новому місці вона знайомиться з духом на прізвисько Урі-Бо й іншими загадковими особистостями, що допомагають їй йти правильним шляхом.

Тоді, коли все валиться, коли старий лад змінюється чимось абсолютно новим, кожна людина буде стояти за себе та за своїх рідних. Ми побачимо всі ці події очима однієї закоханої пари — Базиля та Франсуази. Їхня спільна доля безпосередньо залежить від усього того, що відбувається навколо — як і доля цілої Франції.
