З моменту подій попереднього мультфільму минуло п'ять років. Гикавка і його друзі встигли подорослішати і змужніти. Та й усі вікінги тепер інакше ставляться до драконів. Ця дружба дозволила скандинавським воїнам задуматися про освоєння земель на драконах, а не човнах. Для розвідки і складання мап, Гикавка зі своїм напівхвостим товаришем розвідують прилеглі території. Натрапивши випадково на острів з льоду, герої стають на шляху великого протистояння людини і драконів, яке затіває якийсь незнайомець з надр цього острова.
