фільм "Сонце в тенетах" приносить Угеру і словацькому кіно популярність. Це лірична оповідь про хлопця й дівчину, які зустрічаються на даху панельного будинку на тлі безбарвного меланхолійного пейзажу телевізійних антен, передчуваючи на порозі зрілості, що те, що їх пов'язує, нелегко розірвати. У фільмі, як і у відносинах його героїв, немає нічого певного, є тільки реальність, в якій майже все метафора. Бо вловити справжнє почуття майже так само важко, як зловити сонце в тенета.

A reformed addict, he has never gotten over the wife that left him, and the couple that use him for deliveries worry about his mental well-being and his effectiveness at his job. Unfortunately their wedded bliss is interrupted when Jerry's play becomes a hit and he hooks up with the wrong woman from his past. Eventually Jerry quits drinking and sends his girlfriend packing, just in time for Joan to take him back.

Persuasion fails, and in vengeance Mikolás abducts Lazar's daughter Marketa, just as she was about to join a convent. The King, meantime, dispatches an army and the religious Lazar will be called upon to join hands against Kozlik. Stripped-down, surreal, and relentlessly grimy account of the shift from Paganism to Christianity.
