The tween, Mads, finds it hard to fit in. Having feelings for a girl in class and a clumsy farther who is a teacher at his school doesn't help. By an uforseen chance of events, Mads becomes somewhat of a hero, but will he win the girl?

Jacob, a self-styled private investigator working out of his younger brother's auto salvage yard, sees a chance to make a quick kroner when he meets Finn, a simple chap on the dole. He convinces Finn's social worker to buy Finn a partnership in the PI business. He then sets out to train Finn as his assistant. Their first case is to find a young woman who's joined a cult and get her out. Jacob tapes a walkie-talkie to Finn's leg and sends him into the cult to find and kidnap her. Can these bumbling fellows figure out which woman she is (all cult members have forsaken their old names) and get her out without coming to the attention of the well-muscled guards? Will she want to come?
