Сюжет

Астронавт і вчений Джон Крайтон випробовує спеціальний космічний апарат, намагаючись знайти підтвердження наукової теорії в межах земної орбіти. Він збирався використовувати силу гравітації Землі як прискорювач. У разі успіху експеримент міг стати першим кроком до здійснення міжзоряних перельотів.
Але під час експерименту щось пішло не так — раптово з'явилася гравітаційна хвиля, з неї утворилася кротовина, яка поглинула модуль. Провалившись у неї, він пронісся крізь простір та час і опинився на іншому кінці Всесвіту посеред міжзоряної битви втікачів-в'язнів різних інопланетних рас і агресивних себаціянців, які називають себе «миротворцями». Вони як дві краплі води схожі на людей.
