Джош і Ріней переїжджають зі своїми дітьми в новий будинок, але не встигають толком розпакувати речі, як починаються дивні події. Переміщуються предмети, в дитячій звучать дивні звуки... Але в справжній жах приходять батьки, коли їх десятирічний син Далтон впадає в кому. Всі зусилля лікарів в лікарні допомогти хлопчикові безуспішні. Кілька місяців по тому його повертають додому, де за нещасною дитиною доглядають мати і доглядальниця. Але загадкові явища в будинку тривають.
