7.4 Сюжет
Як не дивно, найчастіше історія запам'ятовує не гідних людей, вірних боргу і честі, а відчайдухів, які в ім'я власної слави ризикують собою і всіма навколо. Полковник Терсді прийняв командування фортом Апачі — мабуть, найостаннішою «дірою» на фронтирі. Тут доводиться битися ні з великими племенами на кшталт сіу або шайеннов, а всього лише приборкувати залишки апачів, яких і так вже майже всіх загнали в резервації. Хіба тут знайдеш славу і доблесть? Але хто шукає, той знайде. Виявляється, апачі зовсім навіть не зломлений народ. Серед них теж є великі вожді, наприклад, Кочіс, про яких шумить преса. І це необхідно використовувати. Посланий на переговори з індійськими вождями капітан Йорк дав їм своє слово, що якщо плем'я повернеться з Мексики на територію США, з індіанцями будуть говорити тільки про мирне співіснування. Звідки він міг знати, що у полковника на цей рахунок абсолютно інша думка і далекоглядні плани. Так, Терсді готовий говорити з індіанцями, але не готовий їх поважати. Готовий загинути в бою проти апачів, але при цьому урвати від них шматочок слави. Готовий заради власних амбіцій втратити практично весь полк. Хто через час згадає про солдатів і офіцерів, які виконали свій обов'язок та загибли в божевільної атаці на багаторазово переважаючі сили індіанців? Зате полковник, повівши їх у цю бійню, залишиться національним героєм. Такі закони історії.

Joe Sullivan is itching to get out of prison. He's taken the rap for Rick, who owes him $50 Grand. Rick sets up an escape for Joe, knowing that Joe will be caught escaping and be shot or locked away forever. But with the help of his love-struck girl Pat and his sympathetic legal caseworker Ann, Joe gets further than he's supposed to, and we are posed with two very important questions: Is Joe really the cold and heartless criminal he appears to be, or is there a heart of gold under that gritty exterior? And does Joe belong with the tough, street-wise Pat, or with the prim, moralizing Ann?

An archaeologist at a museum scolds his small, silent dog, Shep, for supposedly removing a bone belonging to a dinosaur skeleton and orders Shep to bring the bone back, but Shep finds that the place where he buried his most recent bone has been dug up and a bulldog is walking away with the bone in his mouth. Shep chases the bulldog with intent of retrieving the bone, and so begins a battle of wits between Shep and the bulldog in a spacious yard surrounding the bulldog's house. After hoodwinking the dog into trading the bone for a giant plaster bone facsimile loaded with dynamite connected to an ignited fuse, Shep waits for the explosion, then flees the enraged bulldog. He goes back to the museum with the bone in his mouth, but to his dismay, he learns from the archaeologist that the archaeologist had the bone in question in his pocket all the time and that the bone Shep had labored to retrieve had just been an old soup bone.Written by
