Нічний портьє Барт Бромлі — дуже розумний хлопець, що страждає аутизмом.Під час його зміни вбивають жінку, Барт стає головним підозрюваним. Коли поліцейське розслідування закінчується, Барт встановлює особистий зв'язок з прекрасною гостею готелю на ім'я Андреа, але незабаром розуміє, що повинен зупинити справжнього вбивцю, перш ніж вона стане наступною жертвою.

Співробітник портової митниці намагається домовитися з колекторами про відстрочку, тому що колишня дівчина залишила його по вуха в боргах і зникла. Жінка, яка не від хорошого життя працює повією, разом з молодим коханцем думає пришити чоловіка, якій став частіше розпускати руки. Ці незнайомі між собою люди неймовірним чином вплинуть на долі один одного.
